CSS Pagination
Simple Pagination
If you have a website that has lot of pages, and you need to add some sort of pagination to each page:
HTML
CSS
.pagination {
display: inline-block;
}
.pagination a {
color: black;
float: left;
padding: 8px 16px;
text-decoration: none;
}
Output
Active and Hoverable Pagination
Use the current page with an .active class, and apply the :hover selector to change the color of each page link when the mouse is moved over them:
HTML
CSS
.pagination {
display: inline-block;
}
.pagination a {
color: black;
float: left;
padding: 8px 16px;
text-decoration: none;
}
.pagination a.active {
background-color: #4CAF50;
color: white;
}
Output
Rounded Active and Hoverable Buttons
Use the border-radius property to add the rounded “active” and “hover” button:
HTML
CSS
.pagination {
display: inline-block;
}
.pagination a {
color: black;
float: left;
padding: 8px 16px;
text-decoration: none;
}
.pagination a.active {
background-color: #4CAF50;
color: white;
border-radius: 5px;
}
.pagination a:hover:not(.active) {
background-color: #ddd;
border-radius: 5px;
}
Output
Bordered Pagination
The border property is used to add borders to the pagination:
HTML
CSS
.pagination {

}
.pagination a {
color: black;
float: left;
padding: 8px 16px;
text-decoration: none;
transition: background-color .3s;
border: 1px solid #ddd;
}
.pagination a.active {
background-color: #4CAF50;
